The Charledave brand in the field of welding and industrial processes dating back to the beginning of the century, with the discovery of autogenous welding. Mr. Charles David, industrial, entrepreneur, manufacturer of welding equipment for small builders, mechanics, blacksmiths and millers ... was the founder.
The origins of GCE date back to the early 20th century, when the oxy-acetylene cutting and welding pocess were invented.
The GCE was formed in 1987 by the merger of two leading companies in the industrial gas equipment market.
The GCE is present in Portugal since 2006 with business and since 2012 with a representation office.
Today, the product range covers applications ranging from simple pressure regulators and cutting torches to more complex processes and systems of distribution of medical gases and gases for the electronics industry.
The GCE Group has grown rapidly since its inception and leads the restructuring of the European gas industry equipment through acquisitions and mergers. The headquarters are located in Malmö, Sweden, but GCE is present in all the markets of Europe and growing in Russia, China, India, South America and Africa.
The main manufacturing units are in Europe and Asia . The Group has a leading warehouse, EDC - European Distribution Center in Kladno, north of Prague. The group today employs over 850 people.
